When the owners of ASTA took over the lease for the unit next door to their restaurant, they covered the walls with disco tinsel streamers, put a unicorn pińata in one corner of the room, and a penguin in a top hat in the other, and threw a party. The tasting menu restaurant in Boston's Back Bay takes an adventurous approach to everything they do. When they asked us to transform the new space, we were intrigued to say the least.
Working with passionate, unique people and space is kinda our jam, and this project had it from the start. Turn an abandoned cupcake counter into something wild (at the time of writing this copy it is being referred to as the Viper Room). Our clients had tons of ideas, opinions, and concerns. Absorbing all this, and steering them towards a cohesive, exciting, expressive space was the challenge and joy of the project.
Meghan and I worked together more on this project than any other to date. To experience the thoughtful, organized, compassionate approach Meghan takes to her work on a regular basis, is really, very awesome. I'm proud of the way she engaged with the clients, the space, and the project. I’m also proud of engineering and fabricating that behemoth of a rolling bar. And I'm so proud we delivered a flexible, functional, wild room to amazing clients who use it to showcase their own unbelievable craft.
